Away

Between a large Unicode-based project and way too many personal dealings and private problems that don't interest me much less any of the seven of you who read this thing somewhat regularly (thank fuck for trackers because you bastards never comment), it's unlikely that I'll post much (if anything) before the end of the month. OTOH there's enough shit going on that I may well be able to return to daily posts for a while.

Shame about the post intermezzo. I for one, would comment more often but often find I have little more to say on the subject than "heh" or "nice" or "yeah, what a fuckwit" and I feel that adding such me-too comments is not going to increase the value of this blog.

I'm a programmer of both classic apps and the newfangled web thingamajiggies and know my fair share of technology trivia, but I have luckily avoided Citrix and Active X development in my life so far.

So while I can't often add to your stories, please be assured that the loyal 7 readers of this blog enjoy your writingstyle and, well, the hell that is your professional life.

Good luck with the Unicode project. Remember, UCS-2 should be enough for everybody.

I'll take the bait and post a comment for a change.

I've only been reading your blog for a month or two now and I feel enlightened every time I read your stuff.

Somehow, you put down on paper (well, somewhat paper) what millions of us feel every day. You just do it in that "I don't give a crap" way that we can all relate to.

I don't know squat about differentiating the different fonts, especially in hex, but somehow you can pull it off which I think is freakin' awesome. You've obviously been doing it for quite a while.

And as kernelman said, we 7 readers do indeed enjoy your writing style and reading your stories.

I'm also on of the seven (I bet that in a short while there'll be around 50 people claiming they're part of the seven). I'll be your loyal reader when you come back.

Hey man!
Well, normaly there is not many things I could comment on your articles, because I am just having fun. Sometimes I think that we are working at the same cube :D I was also thinking about mny own blog, however it could look like cheap plagiarism as I encouter exactly the same siuations with application support people, suppliers and customers regarding apps running on my citrix farms :)

I echo kernelman's comment since I too often visit and can very well relate to your daily headache-inducing episodes of fuckwittery (is that even a word?).

I rarely comment since A) I'm too fucking lazy to do so half the time and B) the only thing I'd say is "fucking right" or "hell yeah". All I can say is I enjoyed your blog so much that it inspired me to create my own which, if I recall correctly, received comments relating to "imitation = flattery" or something of the sort :P

I'm currently taking a multi-week break from "Fuckwit World" [TM] and am loathing the day I have to return so much, that I'm thinking of taking another few weeks off.

Anyway, enjoy whatever time off you've obtained and nevermind the rest. Grab a beer, pop on whatever DVD or TV show suits your likes and tak'er easy.

We'll be here when you return, coz as you know, we have very little (if any) bits of a social life left over from dealing with fuckwits for 8 to 9 hours a day.
